Equal Exchange  A wonderful place to buy: coffee, tea, chocolate and handmade gifts.  Fair Trade is a set of business practices voluntarily adopted by the producers and buyers of agricultural commodities and hand-made crafts that are designed to advance many economic, social and environmental goals.


Heit's Point Lutheran Camp   For over 25 years Heit's Point has been a place of peace, a place where people can enjoy what the Lord has made.  Visit their site to make reservations for one of the many camps for all ages, a family reunion, or a wedding.  Located approximately 36 miles from Sedalia off Highway 65.

 

Lutheran Church Missouri Synod  The LCMS website is filled with articles on faith, doctrine, education, and missions.  It also contains the Lutheran Church history, sermons, prayer pages, and an in-depth document library.


Lutheran Hour Ministries  Lutheran Hour Ministries develops culturally relevant programs and projects that proclaim the Gospel to the unchurched, encouraging those people who are reached through these ministry efforts to respond by contacting staff or volunteers. Lutheran Hour Ministries then cultivates relationships with those who respond to ultimately facilitate a relationship between them and a congregation, thus helping grow the kingdom of God.


Lutheran Men's Network  The resource for Lutheran Men.  The Men's Network is the place to visit for Bible studies (both individual and group), daily devotions, mission outreach, sermons, and stories.  It is also the place to network, blog, and find active local groups.


Lutheran Urban Mission Agency, KC  LUMA, also known as the Lutheran Mission of the Good Shepherd, is the cross-cultural urban ministry of the LCMS in greater Kansas City.  LUMA runs the Blessings Abound Thrift Store, with proceeds supporting poverty relief. Its social ministries include a food pantry and Christmas Store. 


LWML  The Lutheran Women's Missionary League website is a great resource for Bible studies, devotions, and mission information.  The LWML collects Mites, supports orphanages, Braille workers, at-risk children, Crow Indian Ministry, Lutheran Malaria Initiative, Haskell Indian Nation University, and many others.  Visit their site and see how you can help.


Lutheran World Relief  LWR projects focus on issues at the root causes of poverty. They support farmers and agriculture, respond to emergencies, enhance water access and quality, reduce risks of disasters and climate, improve health and livelihoods, and expand civic participation. This site introduces you to the ways to get involved and has a great news section.


Migrant Farmworkers Project  Migrant Farmworkers Project (MFP) is a project of Legal Aid of Western Missouri and is based in Kansas City. MFP has been serving and empowering Missouri's farm workers--specifically those in Lafayette County and the southeast "Bootheel" region of Missouri--since 1984.  MFP's staff meet with migrant farm workers when they first arrive at the orchards in late summer to determine their eligibility for public benefits, for medical and dental services, and to complete school enrollment forms.


Missouri District - LCMS  The Missouri District consists of 300 congregations, of which we are one. Visit this site to learn about doctrine, mission initiatives, obtain information on family life, youth, education, and district services.


Smile Train  Smile Train has provided free cleft palate surgeries to children in 87 countries.  Without this service these children would have gone untreated. To see how you can help, visit the site.

With God's Little Ones  WGLO is a nonprofit corporation working for the survival of orphans, widows, and others whose lives are endangered. They are staffed and supported by volunteers. Visit them to see how caring hearts have helped renew the lives of the little, otherwise overlooked ones, and how you can get involved.
